yours to keep.

You wanna know what really grinds my gears?

People who don't know how to walk in hallways and/or the sidewalk. I'm sorry, but if you were driving would you just stop in the middle of the road? Uhhh, no, no you wouldn't. Nor would you throw yourself into another lane without checking to see if someone is RIGHT THERE. Holy jeez. I swear one of these days I'm gonna punch someone in the back of the head.

You wanna know something else that really grinds my gears? How the whole Michael Phelps marijuana thing is completely blown out of proportion, turned upside down and shaken for more than it's worth. But that's a discussion for another day...

Somedays, I can't stand people.

Oh, Ps - DJ AM was here last night. I missed it.

LA Riots are here this Saturday - 5 bucks says I won't go, actually, I don't even think tickets are even available anymore.

Sam Ronson is here on the 13th. The tickets say she's playing with a "very special guest" LINDSAY LOHAN SAY WHA?!?!?! I'm definitely not missing that! Mark it on your calendars - I will get to meet Lindsay Lohan if it's the last thing I do!

autobahn music box.

I found this sweet-ass book at Chapters the other day.

It, among several other books, delights the white soul in me.

I think I shall purchase them.

zip zap.

I found this on my hard drive today. I can't remember why I saved it. I can't remember why I named the file "dakota" either. Ah, alzheimer's starts to set in....

all the wine.

I wonder if I've lost my desire to be in school. Don't misunderstand me - I love school, the concept of it, and the fact that it's something that's offered to me. I would never drop out and getting my degree is a form of self validation that I never want to lose. Lately, however, it feels like I've lost the desire to go. It's been a while since I've been mentally engaged with any of my courses and sometimes I wonder if I went about it the wrong way.

breakaway.

So, I've been tagged about 10 times on Facebook for this thing, but I never write Facebook notes unless I have something important to say to the masses. Instead, I'll take it here to Blogger.
_____________________________________________________

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

(To do this, go to “notes” under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app) then click publish.

1. From time to time I get into these insane, obsessed, rampage-like cleaning moods where I need to deep clean everything around me and rebuild it from the ground up to be neat and organized and sanitized.

2. I have a secret vision of what I would like my life to be, complete with certain goals I would like to reach, that I have never told anyone about.

3. I frequently zone out and stare off into space daydreaming.

4. I find it easier to fall asleep on the couch than my own bed.

5. I'm actually glad that I gave up acting. I know it was the right thing to do and while I still miss the social aspect of it, I don't miss it on the whole.

6. I cannot leave the house without chapstick. If I do, my entire day is ruined.

7. I have a thing for skylines. I once saw a book at Chapters called "Skylines of the World" (or something to that degree) and have been trying to find it ever since.

8. My mother is the strongest person I will ever meet.

9. I get tongue tied when I meet celebrities. Even minor ones.

10. I will judge someone harshly for poor grammar - to the point where I will not bother giving a resumé a second glance if they misspell words/improperly conjugate sentences.

11. I actually love my job.

12. I find shaving to be the biggest chore in the world.

13. My iPod is my BFF.

14. I only make 4 playlists/mixed CDs a year. They coincide with the seasons and make a veritable musical snapshot of my entire year. They have the power to transport me to certain periods of my life like nothing else ever will.

15. I think a part of me secretly loves feeling emo and depressed. It relishes in the hopelessness.

16. It kind of scares me how easily and quickly I forgave my attackers last August, yet I can hold a grudge against my family for something stupid for a long time.

17. The less money I have the more desire I have to burn through it - yet when I actually have Benjamin's in the bank, I am very hesitant to buy anything.

18. I'm fairly positive that, had I gone to see a doctor when I first moved to Calgary, he would have described me as clinically depressed.

19. I think the song "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne is the catchiest pop song since the Beatles stopped making music.

20. One of my goals in life is to meet a real life bear.

21. If I could have anything I wanted right now it would be a dog. I already know that when I get one I'll become overly attached to it and the day he passes away I'll be an absolute wreck.

22. I cried when Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore died.

23. I think Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks has the most incredible voice of anyone I have ever heard.

24. I'm a sucker for infomercials. I should not be allowed to watch them because I develop the strongest urges to buy everything they showcase.

25. I swear I'm an 80 year old trapped inside the body of a 21 year old. I look forward to retirement, canasta, shuffle board, senior specials, winters in the south, sitting aimlessly on park benches, complaining about how things used to be and being able to sleep whenever I want.
